What Is Your Light Body?

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16, King James Version

Just as you have a pain body that carries the heavy, uncomfortable energy of your suffering, you also have a light body.

What is your light body?

Simply put, your light body is the radiance of your soul.

In holistic healing, there are numerous meditation techniques as well as energy healing modalities designed to awaken your consciousness of your light body and increase the frequency of your vibration.

These techniques may imply that you are somehow separated from your light body, and indeed many of us suffer from the disease of forgetting who we really are, of losing our mind-body-spirit integration and somehow coming to believe that we are either our ego mind or our physical body.

But the truth is you are a soul and as such you never really lose total touch with your light body.

It’s always there.

You just have to recognize the light within you and give yourself permission to radiate that light not only for your own benefit but for the blessing of all others.

“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” Matthew 5:15, King James Version

You can read the directions for a Pillar of Light Invocation at this link.

You can learn how to meditate on the Merkaba, a star tetrahedron, at this link.

And you can read about activating 12 levels of your light body with sacred geometry at this link.

These techniques may have great value but I tend to be a simple person and I like to explain things as clearly as possible.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.” Marianne Williamson

What if awakening your light body was as simple as seeing the light within yourself, of ceasing your identification with the pain and suffering of your life experience, and appreciating the beautiful soul you really are?

What if you give yourself permission to take such great care of yourself that you resolve your core emotional conflicts and heal the diseases of your physical body?

Then you would be truly radiant, amplifying the glory of who you really are and becoming a source of inspiration to all others.

Your light would shine so brightly that you and other people could clearly see the magnificent soul you are.

Medieval artists depicted the halos of Jesus and the saints in countless images such as the one you can see at this link. These individuals were seen to have become so identified with their spiritual bodies that their lights shine all around them.

“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” Carl Jung

As a medical intuitive healer who deals with pain and suffering on a daily basis, I can attest to the fact that often we see the agony of life as the only thing that’s real.

We feel inside ourselves and connect with the hurt, then look out into the world and project our hatred, judgment, division and troubles out there.

The agony can at times feel like the most real thing we have ever experienced.

Just yesterday, I received a call for a medical intuitive reading from a lady in another state suffering from trigeminal neuralgia, a disorder of the nerve in the face that affects your teeth, mouth and nasal cavity and widely accepted as one of the most painful conditions in medical literature.

Trigeminal neuralgia was once known as the “suicide disease” because of the high number of people who took their own lives before effective treatments were discovered.

“I’ve been suffering for two years and I don’t think I can take it any longer,” the dear lady said to me.

“I’m so sorry,” I said to her with true understanding, as years ago after a botched dental procedure I suffered from trigeminal neuralgia myself for a period of three extraordinarily lengthy months.

My brother, an ophthalmologist, was the one who diagnosed me correctly. I would lie immobilized on the couch reading about every self-help pain relief technique imaginable but only found true relief if I was sleeping.

I would go to the health food store searching the homeopathic remedies. I can recall muscle testing myself and finding the exact one.

“For when your teeth hurt so bad you feel like screaming,” the bottle read.

Oh, that would be the one!

Rarely had I ever been so pushy when I arrived at my chiropractor’s office for an adjustment. I would claw the windowsill of the receptionist, practically shaking as I demanded treatment as quickly as possible. I’m sure my chiropractor understood why I was not acting my usual self!

I called Sue Maes, my mentor in healing up in Canada, for enlightenment.

“What the hell is this about?” I asked Sue with more than a little irritation.

“You are dropping all your genetic programming on all the levels all at once,” Sue informed me. “Now you will be in choice.”

That sounded about right, as I tend to adopt a take no prisoners approach and often find myself a bit too aggressive with my own spiritual growth.

Finally my suffering ended after not just one but two root canal operations.

During the first root canal procedure, I had five shots of novocaine and could still feel the torture.

When I went back for my second operation, I asked my husband at the time to come with me because I figured the dentist and his assistants did not actually believe that I could still feel the pain after all those injections.

At times of such intense agony it can be easy to lose connection with our light body, but your light body is in fact who you are.

You are not your pain.

You are not your choices, either good or bad.

You are not your body, no matter how beautiful, healthy or strong it may be.

You are not your emotions, ebbing and flowing, going in and out like the tide.

You are your soul, a radiant body of light, eternal, of God, one with all that is, unbreakable, unstoppable, all knowing, all seeing, all feeling, all hearing and forever alive to your purpose.

Can you see it?

What is healing? Healing happens when you see your own light body and give yourself permission to shine that light for the benefit of all living beings.
