Bhutadamar Mudra Shields Against Negative Energies
There are times in life when you feel overwhelmed by negativity.
You may find yourself surrounded by the negative emotions of others — anger, fear, shame, blame, guilt, greed, hysteria, even emotional or physical violence.
Or you could find yourself the target of personal attack.
Many highly sensitive people may be so empathic that you pick up on negative energy not only immediately around you but in far away places — war, global conflicts and threats to the environment that you have no actual control over.
You may have no good methods to keep yourself from being affected by these energies and find yourself feeling anxious, depressed or overwhelmed.
One of the most powerful ways you can stay in your calm, peaceful center is to activate Bhutadamar Mudra, a shield against negative energies.
Mudras are symbols you create with your hands. They are included in the ancient science of yoga but you don’t have to practice the physical postures or asanas or breathing exercises called pranayama to take advantage of the magic of mudras.
You can learn how yoga mudras work by reading my article at this link.
Here’s how you activate Bhutadamar Mudra:
- Turn your palms facing away from your body.
- Fold your ring finger down towards your palm.
- Cross your arms.
- Bring your awareness to the sound of your breath.
- Visualize yourself surrounded by the white light of protection.
- Rest in your center as long as you like, rediscovering the peace within yourself.
You can watch a video of how to perform Bhutadamar Mudra at this link.
Bhutadamar Mudra turns on the energy of your ring finger, which corresponds to the earth element. Your ring finger activates your root or muladhara chakra. By energizing your root chakra, you feel grounded, courageous and confident.
You can form Bhutadamar Mudra while creating sacred space and cocooning your energy field.
To learn how to create sacred space, read my blog at this link.
To learn how to cocoon your energy field, read my blog here.
These three techniques — Bhutadamar Mudra, creating sacred space and cocooning yourself — may be essential survival skills for highly sensitive people.
If you know you are an empath, I recommend practicing these three techniques first thing in the morning, anytime you feel your own inner peace has been disrupted and again before you go to sleep.
