“Those who have suffered understand suffering and therefore extend a hand.” Patti Smith

One of the common pains I as a medical intuitive healer empower my clients to overcome is the gut wrenching and soul sucking suffering that occurs as a result of a breakup with intimate partners.

If you study the Holmes and Race stress scale, divorce and marital separation come second and third as among the most stressful of life events right after death of a spouse, the №1 most crushing event that can ever happen to you.

But surprising to me and perhaps to many others, nowhere does the vaunted stress scale include a scientific measurement of the precise stress caused by the split with a boyfriend or girlfriend, a heartbreaking event no matter what age you endure it.

Whether your spouse passes away, you soldier through a divorce, you haul your stuff away from your live-in lover or break up with your boyfriend or girlfriend, the complete and utter agony you experience may cause you not just emotional torture but also physical distress.

“They tore out my heart and stomped that sucker flat.” Lewis Grizzard

As a compassionate healer, I can assist you to reduce the torment and perhaps shorten the duration of your grief using these tools from energy healing:

  1. Reading the cord connections that remain between you and your lost love, helping you to understand what your relationship had become.
  2. Empowering you to cut the cords and complete your karma with him or her.
  3. Healing your broken heart and helping you to understand whether you have been punishing yourself, protecting yourself or both.
  4. Clearing old cord connections from this and previous relationships and rebuilding your heart chakra.
  5. Releasing the patterns that caused you to engage in self destructive behavior.
  6. Teaching you how to forgive.

Reading the Cord Connections Between You and Your Lost Love

“Let us trust ourselves completely to make the choices we must make.” Don Miguel Ruiz

At any point in any relationship, I as a medical intuitive healer can read the cord connections between you and your loved one.

Here’s how this works.

When you form intimate relationships, you form invisible cord connections between the two of you.

If you want to see for yourself what these cord connections look like, author Barbara Brennan illustrated these cord connections beautifully in her book Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field.

Even if you can’t see them, you can feel when you are deeply connected with someone and you can also feel the shift when the connection has passed away.

In addition to your lovers, you also may form cord connections with your mother, father, brother, sisters and close friends.

These cord connections speak volumes about the depth and breadth of your relationship and how you relate to one another.

First Chakra connections: At this energy center, you consider each other family, you derive identity by being related to one another and share financial responsibility. When you are connected here, you are part of the same tribe.

Second Chakra connections: At this energy vortex, you feel sexually attracted to one another and draw power from one another.

Third Chakra connections: When you connect here, you feel what the other person feels and experience empathy, compassion and caring.

Fourth Chakra connections: When you truly love another person you connect deeply from your heart to their heart.

Fifth Chakra connections: When you connect here, you have a lot to communicate to each other, listen well and speak your truth to one another.

Sixth Chakra connections: When you connect here, you share your visions of the world.

Seventh Chakra connections: When you connect here, you form a deep spiritual connection that may have spanned even more than this lifetime. This includes your karma together and deep life lessons you teach one another.

Whenever you go through the agonizing process of breaking up with another person, these cord connections gradually break away.

You may have totally disconnected from your partner or vice versa, but, at the same time, I have had clients divorced from their previous partners as long as 12 years ago who have continued cord connections.

The problem is that when you keep these old cord connections you may experience what I personally describe as “psychic whack.”

What I mean by this is that all of a sudden you may feel bad for no apparent reason because you are quite literally picking up on your previous partner’s energy.

When you have actually broken up for good, it’s important to cut the cords between you and your old lover so that you can move forward and start afresh unencumbered by the energetic debris of your past relationship.

Failure to cut the cords may prevent you quite literally from moving forward whole heartedly into any new relationship.

Or you may discover yourself being pulled back into the drama when you know you’re no good for each other. Despite your better wisdom, if you don’t cut the cords you could find yourself repeating past mistakes.

Cut the Cords and Complete Your Karma

After reading the current state of your cord connections and explaining how and where you remain connected, I empower you to cut the remaining cords between you.

“You Just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don’t need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free” Paul Simon

As you cut the cords, I encourage you to speak from your soul to the soul of your previous partner, literally getting off your chest all previously unexpressed words and emotions.

The other person doesn’t actually have to hear what you say. When you set your intention for soul to soul communication, the other person will get the message.

Once you have cut the cords and spoken your peace, I then do a karmic healing so that you complete all spiritual lessons between the two of you.

These lessons may occur on the mind grid level, your DNA level, on the karmic contract level or from the core of your soul going back through multiple lifetimes.

When you do the energy work to cut your cords and the spiritual work to complete your karma, you don’t need to keep going back and reliving the misery.

You can move forward in freedom and begin to experience inner peace once again.

Heal Your Broken Heart

“The heart was made to be broken.” Oscar Wilde

A very simple technique heals a broken heart. In fact, the technique is so simple that if I shared the steps you could hardly believe how profoundly beneficial it could be.

Healing your broken heart from the loss of your relationship becomes a crucial step in your recovery because if you don’t do it, your heart will remain closed.

When your heart is closed, you are either punishing yourself, protecting yourself or both.

When you keep your heart closed over time, you restrict the amount of energy you are able to experience.

You may feel fatigued and not know why. No amount of rest, exercise, drugs or supplements may help.

You also close yourself off to future love, unconsciously giving up on one of life’s greatest joys.

My mentor in healing, Sue Maes of Ontario, Canada, says that it’s important to open your heart yourself or a surgeon will open it for you.

As sorrowful as breakups may be, know that your broken heart can be healed and that you are strong enough to open yourself to love again.

Rebuild Your Heart Chakra

“Expectation is the root of all heartbreak.” William Shakespeare

As a highly trained energy healer, I can clear out your heart chakra (as well as all your other chakras), releasing any and all cord connections that remain from previous relationships.

This empowers you to move forward without dragging along the energies of past relationships.

In my professional opinion, the world needs more energy healers who can rebuild heart chakras because heart disease is the №1 cause of death for people of all ethnicities in the U.S., including African Americans, hispanics and whites.

Maybe it’s not just lousy diet, fatty foods or lack of exercise hurting your heart. What if you need to let go of the sorrow from past relationships?

Clear Out Self Destruct

“You can’t always get what you want but if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need.” The Rolling Stones

There’s a highly effective technique I learned from Total Body Modification (TBM), a highly advanced form of kinesiology healing.

I check to see how many layers of self destruct you currently have operating.

The record in my healing practice is over 400 layers of self destruct, and this I found in a client years ago who had suffered from cancer not just once but six times.

You would think having one form of cancer would be enough, but no.

That gentleman was so subconsciously self destructive he contracted cancer over and over and over and over and over. He actually moved from Boston to Atlanta so he could work with me in person over a period of time.

It’s very common for me to find high levels of self destruct among clients who have recently broken up from a loved one.

You may notice you have fallen into self destructive patterns after a breakup that may include drinking too much alcohol, overeating, avoiding socializing, shutting yourself in and other manifestations of giving up.

I cleared multiple layers of self destruct with a client long distance recently after she had lost her son to a murderer.

She had spent two years visiting therapist after therapist with virtually no relief because she had been taken over by her self destructive programming.

Forgiveness Blesses You At the Deepest Levels

One of the greatest of all blessings that you may bestow upon yourself after a breakup is learning how to forgive and then actually practicing forgiveness.

“Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” Matthew 18:21–22

In the interest of public service, I now share with you three simple but highly effective forgiveness mantras.

You can use all of them at different times or choose one and repeat it until you feel the energy between you and your former loved one has cleared completely.

Forgiveness Mantra from Johnny and Lara Fernandez Love Coaches:

Step One:

“I forgive you and set you free.

Your actions no longer have power over me.

I acknowledge you’re doing the best that you can and I honor you in your process of unfoldment.

You are free and I am free. All is well between us.

Peace is the order of the day. Peace is the order of the day. Peace is the order of the day.

Step Two:

“I know that within you there’s an energy of forgiveness that forgives me and sets me free.

My words and actions have no power over you.

You are free and I am free. All is well between our spirits.

Peace is the order of the day. Peace is the order of the day. Peace is the order of the day.”

Hoʻoponopono, an ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness:

I Love You ( name of person),

I’m Sorry ( name of person),

Please Forgive Me ( name of person),

Thank You ( name of person)

My simplified version of forgiveness, which I recommend when you feel stressed because it’s so easy to remember:

I FORGIVE (name of person)

( name of person) FORGIVES ME

I LOVE ( name of person)

( name of person) LOVES ME

As you repeat any or all of these forgiveness mantras, I recommend you place your hand over your heart.

You can add eye movements in order to access all parts of the brain as you speak these silently and out loud:

Eyes Open:

eyes up

eyes down

eyes right

eyes left

Eyes Closed:

eyes up

eyes down

eyes right

eyes left

How will you know when you’re done with forgiveness?

When you can think of another person and not trigger any negativity, you’re done.

To my way of thinking, forgiveness is very much like house cleaning.

I may vacuum my house carefully one day only to discover a few days later that more dust has settled and need to go after it again.

Heart Disease from a Medical Intuitive Healer’s Perspective

“The ultimate lesson is learning how to love and be loved unconditionally.” Elisabeth Kubler Ross.

Yes, I believe in food healing for the heart and have an entire computer file on what foods heal and also hurt your heart. Smoothies, supplements, an oil change, reducing inflammation. I could speak on this subject for hours.

Yes, I believe in regular exercise, especially yoga, qi gong, tai chi and walking for your heart, stress management, meditation and heart bypass surgery when necessary.

Thank God we live in an age where surgeons can save your life, where nutritionists can change your body chemistry by teaching you how to eat well and where you can strengthen your heart muscle by working out.

But from my professional experience over the years, I believe that it’s the failure to overcome the heartbreaks of life that causes a gradual restriction of the joy we allow ourselves to experience.

It takes tremendous courage to feel the grief but in doing so know that you will ultimately make yourself stronger and one day perhaps be ready to love again.

What is healing?

Healing happens when you take the time to heal your heart. By practicing unconditional kindness for yourself and all others, you radiate a joy that uplifts everyone around you.
